Facebook ads begin to show a button for Whatsapp

When we create a Facebook ad we can include buttons so that users of the social network can perform specific actions in that ad: access a website to know more about the subject, send a message via Facebook (messenger) … now a new one is appearing option related to another Facebook product: Whatsapp .

The superior capture, disclosed in TC , shows how the ad includes a button with the WhatsApp icon, which allows the user, when pressed, to open the messaging application to communicate directly with the channel responsible for said announcement.

This new ad block will allow companies to create a link between the two platforms, and is already being implemented in several countries, starting with North and South America, Africa, Australia and most of Asia.

Europe is not yet included due, surely, to the problems it has to make data links between both platforms, legal limits imposed by data protection regulations.

Facebook comments that more than 1 million Facebook pages already include WhatsApp numbers in their publications, which indicates that there is already an interest on the part of the owners of the businesses.

For now, Facebook has no plans to add the integration of the WhatsApp button elsewhere in the pages of its social network, it seems that at the moment it is limited to the ads, although surely we will end up seeing it in the near future.
